We all should follow COD revolution for that
Before Understanding COD Revolution you should understand what is COD?
COD is a payment option, where we get to see in e-commerce sites.
Most of Indians prefer COD to stay at safer side.
“COD” and “E-COMMERCE” site I am putting more focus on these words
because there is a problem in the process or a mistake in this process.
What I fell about this problem is I should finish this problem from the root of it so that consumer
can get ordered product easily, for the benefit of both consumer and E-commerce Sites.
E-commerce Sites and Consumer both face the problem when Consumer didn’t get his ordered product properly as simple as that.
So when Consumer didn’t get his product properly Refund, Replacement, Refund Policies etc comes into the picture and you know how weird is that.
But if you follow the COD revolution in a systematic way then you will be able to solve Refund issues too.
YES you read it right !!!
Now lets understand why Consumer didn’t get his ordered product safely .
When you order the product via Computer/Laptop/Mobile App.
Order then goes to e-commerce site
E-commerce Site has lots of sellers , order then goes to Seller of your choice.
If E-commerce site has its own Logistic Service than that its well an good otherwise it goes to third party Logistic Service for your product shipping.
Then there are lots of courier boys, amongst them one will give delivery of your product at your home/office.
If u have observed that in this process, product which you have ordered is handled by many people.
Now the question is within this process who will you trust ?
Yes thats right !! You will not be able to trust
In this process if there any problem who will u blame ? If u do that Do you have any proof.
Yes probably you might not be thinking about this things because till now your packages are
safely delivered at your home/office.
But if you got into trouble like Abhishek Bhatnagar(CEO, Founder of Gadgets To Use) then
what will you do?
What will happen if this happens with you?
If you don’t have Youtube Channel like Abhishek how will you tell this to majority of the people ?
You will face lot of challenges ,even Abhishek has faced lot of challenges.
After watching video of UIC (UR Indian Consumer) I thought of sharing this to you guys.
Now just get to the point what exactly you have to do ?
You just have to change the shopping habit a bit.
First thing is you liked the product, added it in your cart, while placing the order you should opt for COD
i.e Cash On Delivery.
I know now most of people will say I get discounted prices on Credit/Debit Card etc
but one thing you have to understand, when you are ordering some costly products like
Mobile phone/Laptop etc your first priority should be it should get delivered at your home/office safely I mean in good condition.
Because if you will not do this trust me on this you might be probably the next target where you will see Stones or some equivalent heavy object inside your package, and this has happened with many of them.
It’s a shame but this is happening in the market outside.
You have to take some action steps regarding this, what you have to do ? Don’t worry I will explain it.
When you will order product through “Cash on Delivery mode”.
Before reaching the product at your home/office call the Customer Care and specify the time when you will be available at home/office. With my experience they are very co-operative because they also want that their product should be delivered to authorized person.
Now the next big thing is Time of Delivery.
But many of you might be thinking, How should we handle so much amount of cash?
It is not necessary you should because when courier boy comes at home/office for delivery 90% of time they are carrying swipe machine so you will be able to pay by Credit/Debit card .
But when should you pay?
Normally what happens is you get package–>you pay for product–>you sign on product delivery receipt
and u get inside the house.here arrives a problem.
Here you are not checking by unboxing package whether your product which is delivered is correct or not, whether it is in good condition or bad condition OR whether it is the same product you have ordered ?
You can get anything inside the package, It might also happen that the same delivery boy might unbox product get original product and replace with any other product/brick and repack it and deliver it to you.
Yes it might happen.
Here comes solution “COD Revolution”
When delivery boy comes to your home/office with package you should open the package
On the spot On-Camera Yes On-Camera. It might sound absurd to you and you might be thinking that
It does not happen in real world and you will say most of courier boys will not allow to unbox the package .
Why will he not allow? The rules that is set strategically by e-commerce site, that rules you have to change it.Yes that is definition of COD Revolution.
The policy for big home appliances like TV, Washing-Machine, AC is different than any other product online.
They take two signatures . 1st for package unboxing and 2nd for delivery of product.
Then why not this policy for mobile phones, laptop and many other electronics, specially for products where we get only replacements and not refunds.
Think about it.
Because we consumers are not demanding. We are not demanding to open the product, Yes that is advantage of COD.
One thing You might be thinking If I am alone at home who will record the video?
You can ask delivery boy to take the video, and he will help in doing this, What is the reason he will not do it?
After all if any problem ocours or you will find irrelevant thing in the package, he will also be a part of that problem.
We have to make them understand its for the safety of both of us (Delivery boy and consumer)
The video proof is as important to you as for myself.
Yes he will understand and agree with you because this might secure his job.
Now what are three benefits of COD revolution.
- If you will not get product, you don’t have to worry because you will not be asking
For refunds and frequently mail/call for refunds.
- If wrong product gets delivered, don’t accept it and in advance you have proof of
video or photo. You can later mail to respective e-commerce Customer Care about wrong delivery of product.
- You are avoiding buying unnecessary products because you are opting for COD option.
Now following all these procedures do you think It will be simple. Na !
Delivery boy will not allow you to open the package. Now what you have to do is, simply reject the package when he oppose you to do that.
Now suppose if all consumers will do like this E-commerce companies will have to forcefully change the policy of delivering the products to the consumer.
Here I want to mention that delivery boy will not tell What you have to do.You will tell him What to do right because Consumer is the King
